Antique Burmese Shan Hollow Lacquer King Buddha Statue with metal flanges decorated with green and red mosaics. A scrolling decoration in Thayo lacquer decorates the upper section of the pedestal with thayo lacquer representing lotus petals underneath. Green and red glass mosaics decorate the royal attire front and back, with five glass beads decorating the front of the attire and one placed on the centre of the forehead. The royal jewellery on the upper arms and wrists is represented by rows of glass mosaics and thayo lacquer.

The tips of each flange have had some repair. Despite the ravages of time, this Buddha statue is still an impressive and rare Burmese Shan Hollow Lacquer King Buddha statue.
