Burmese Antique wooden Nat spirit, possibly Taung-Ngu Mingaung Nat, is one of the 37 Nat spirits mentioned in Burmese myth and folklore.

Before Theravada Buddhism was introduced by King Anawrahta in the 11th century as the main religion, Nat and spirit cult worship was the traditional belief system among the people of Burma.

There are several ranks of Nats in Myanmar (formerly Burma), some have royal status and some are of a high-ranking status and others can be ordinary people or peasants.
