Antique Burmese Bronze Arakan Buddha Statue, dressed in royal attire with jewels decorating the neck and wrists, seated in lotus posture on a two-tiered triangular pedestal with The right hand in bhumisparsha mudra “Calling earth to Witness”, the left-hand holds a rounded kalasa jar, thought to contain the “nectar of eternity or longevity” (amrita).
A row of lotus buds stretch across the forehead ending above each ear with a four-pronged crown above, and small side flanges flank the shoulders. A decorative usnshia sits in the centre of the crown with a pointed finial sitting on top of four lotus buds.
